Of the Soulless 5 -NaNo '09-Putting a key back on the shelf, the innkeeper made a sideways glance towards the girl from last night. She had tucked herself in a corner, pouring over a map and eating some food she had bought a few moments ago. His eyes lingered over her uneasily as a customer came up to the counter, completely unaware of the girl and of the demon that entered the room right after her. Aja scanned the room for a few moments, laying eyes on the girl from yesterday, completely absorbed in a map of some sort. He noticed about her a faint smell of smoke and turned his head quickly in the opposite direction. In his mind, he was angry that he, a demon, someone w Of the Soulless 5 -NaNo '09-

Of the Soulless 4 -NaNo '09-The squat innkeeper handed the girl a key, all the while trying to avoid her eyes. Looking at her and watching her, he thought, was like entering an abandoned house in winter when you were expecting a warm fire. Clearly the girl was human but there was definitely something, well, off about her. The girl thanked the man, showing him an awkward smile that did nothing more than to creep the man out.   
The door opened just as the girl went to retrieve the key. Both of them turned towards it, only to see a demon standing there. The innkeeper felt shivers going up and down his spine as he backed up against the wall of room keys, starting Of the Soulless 4 -NaNo '09-

Of the Soulless 3 -NaNo '09-"Hey! Thief! Come back here!" a merchant called out, rushing immediately in pursuit of a cloaked man who had stolen a nice, handsome sum of money from behind his back. The cloaked man only stood to laugh maniacally, triumphant in obtaining his loot as he ran faster and faster, easily out running the rather overweight merchant. As the thief continued to run, a foot stuck out underneath him, causing him to trip and fall. The stolen money scattered all over the ground, shook loose by the rough fall. Soon after, the merchant came up, huffing and puffing, to glare down at the thief. His eyes turned towards the man who had saved his money, expectin Of the Soulless 3 -NaNo '09-

Of the Soulless 2 -NaNo '09-They approached the hut at a slow pace. Aurora was taking the lead with Sarah following close behind her, wringing the hem of her shirt as she went. The cottage itself sat on a hill that overlooked the small village below and was close enough to be still considered part of the community yet far enough away so that it was seemingly isolated. Aurora appreciated the vast garden in front of the house. The plot held very little due to the time of year but Aurora knew that it held dozens of fruits and vegetables in the summer as well as a wide variety of flowers. In the back, a small grove of bare trees could be seen. The building itself was quaint Of the Soulless 2 -NaNo '09-

I spent basically the whole weekend I was not working or sleeping reading a shojo manga called Boys Over Flowers (the proper, Japanese title being equal to my journal.)

I really enjoyed the series, actually. I can't stop thinking about the two main characters--two stubborn individuals. One was extremely rich, the other exceedingly poor. Both arrogant, stubborn, and prideful. It really was a nice love story. Truthfully, I'm more or less addicted to the stories that have a love conquers all appeal. Even if it is only fiction, it is inspirational and sends me day dreaming. When I was single, those types of stories always caused a sort of yearning in me. Now, it's been fourteen months...and I wonder how much of the romance is gone in my relationship? I should really start doing small things again. Little, but important things.

I need to do something special for Alex...but I am not sure as to what yet.

*sigh* I want to write something romantic.
But I blew off my homework that is due tomorrow because I could not stop reading.
